Dr. Patterson assumed the Superintendent position for Brockton School District (MT) in July of 2021. Since that time, he has worked in conjunction with both existing and new staff to improve upon the District’s past success. Areas of focus have included, but are not limited to: improvement of student outcomes, staff quality, school climate, and facilities. Dr. Patterson believes that, “it takes a village to raise a child” and exemplifies the ideal through teamwork and shared decision making. He looks forward to continuing the improvement process in Brockton and, with the help of all stakeholders, forging it into the highest preforming and most desired school district on the Fort Peck Reservation. Prior to Brockton, Dr. Patterson served three years as Principal of Garfield Elementary School in Miles City (MT), three years as Superintendent & Elementary Principal for Noxon Public Schools (MT), two years as 7-12 Principal & English Teacher for Noxon Public Schools (MT), two years as an English Teacher for Lake Gibson High School (FL), and two years as an English Teacher for Fannin County High School (GA). He has also worked as a college football coach and home builder. Dr. Patterson earned his EdD from Montana State University (Bozeman), his MEd from Bethel University (TN), and his BA from The University of Georgia. He graduated from Fannin County High School (GA) where he was a three-sport athlete (football, basketball, and track). Dr. Patterson also played college football at Middle Georgia College (2001-2002), Montgomery College, MD (2002-2003), and The University of Georgia (2003-2004). He and his wife, Brittany, share four children: Enola (16), Evander (14), Selah (12), and Soren (10). Although currently working full time in Montana, Dr. Patterson maintains a permanent residence in Mineral Bluff, GA.
